THE JOURNEY . . .
Our story began in Gloucestershire in 2011, with considerable experience within the window and door industry between us we noticed a gap in the existing marketplace. What if you wanted a 19th Century flush sash timber window, but with all the benefits of PVC-U? The idea soon became reality. A bespoke systems house was formed, Eclectic Systems, to develop specific products for niche, heritage markets.
Eclectic Systems embarked on a journey to design a window and door system where time served tradition meets modern day manufacturing and extrusion processes. Residence 9 was born. Every aesthetic feature of Residence 9 is associated to the bygone age of craftsmanship including flush sash to the outside of the window and options such as deep Georgian bar, forged black or pewter hardware, monkey tail handles and peg stays. Though the styling is clearly a fusion of traditional design and sightlines, the modern day materials and 9 chamber design offer enhanced thermal properties, high security options and are virtually maintenance free.
The profiles we sell have a reputation of quality craftsmanship and they are crafted into windows by our fabricators. Using our postcode search, you can begin your journey by finding your nearest Residence 9 installer. Once you’ve decided which of our 42 colour combinations you would like, you place an order with your installer and they will then place the order with one of our fabricators who will manufacture it into your stunning chosen design.
"Every window and door is manufactured using state of the art machinery, and then hand finished. Our fabricators have many years’ experience within the industry. They will hand craft the frames, glass bond, and the final quality check ensures all products leave their factory in perfect condition, to then be installed in your home by your chosen Residence 9 installer."
We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and our window system is 100% lead free and fully recyclable. It is very low maintenance, no sanding and painting required.
We are proud to say that we extrude our system in the UK and enjoy supporting British manufacturing. We believe our fabricators are an example of how manufacturing businesses can succeed in this country by having a clear goal and utilising the best products, people and machinery.
And so it continues; we are growing and adapting with changing trends, technology and social circumstances. What isn’t changing is our commitment to designing beautiful products of the highest quality with an uncompromising attitude towards high performance and long life.
